Mint Julep Recipe

It’s officially Mint Julep season and we’re celebrating by sharing Wild Common’s unique take on the classic spring cocktail. In 2013, Louisville – the hometown of the Kentucky Derby – officially declared April Mint Julep Month. Every year, Garden and Gun, Maker’s Mark and Bourbon Country partner with participating restaurants to cheers to the occasion with custom cocktails and special events.

Inspired by DH Lawrence’s quote “I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself,” Wild Common’s Mint Julep limited edition cocktail is one you don’t want to miss. Recipe
Ingredients:

2 oz Tesseron Lot 90 XO Cognac
0.75 oz Lemon Juice
0.5 oz Citrus Caramel Syrup
0.25 oz Green Chartreuse
Fresh Mint for garnish

Stir all ingredients (except the mint) with ice.

Pour over a large cube of ice in a rocks glass.

Garnish with a mint sprig.
