Truffle Weekend July 2021
Wild Common’s truffle weekend is back! Join us on the weekend of July 16th for a special edition of our Signature Tasting Menu featuring the most sought after culinary treat – Australian Perigord Truffles.
For $195 per ticket (+ tax and fees), we invite you into our kitchen on July 16th, 17th, and 18th to enjoy a delicious multi-course dinner. Chef Orlando Pagán has prepared a special 4-course Tasting Menu featuring rare and delicious truffles! Our team has also curated an optional list of wine pairings to complement the truffles for a meal you won’t soon forget.
Since 1999, Australia has become one of the world’s largest producers of the most-prized type of black truffle – the French black or périgord. They were first introduced to the country in the mid 1990s, with the first Australian truffles unearthed in 1999. As périgord truffles are harvested in the autumn and winter, the season in Australia runs from May until mid August.
Fun Fact: Chef Orlando likes to use the Australian Perigord Truffles in his cooking because they are packed with truffle flavor and are very fragrant, while normal summer truffles have a weak aroma and mild flavor.
